Joseph is bored. Maybe it’s him. Or maybe there’s just nothing to do. Disconnected from the world, he hangs about in his room. Waiting. Dangling.
But then one night, a small hole appears in his ceiling and, beckoned by a voice, he climbs into the hole and into a hidden room.
Hiding amongst the mess of objects and memories Joseph finds three figures. Each speaks a different language. Each introduces themselves as his neighbour.
Put in a trance by these figures, Joseph is pulled out of the window, through time and memory, and on an adventure which might provide the key to Joseph’s his self-imposed imprisonment.
This surreal visual poem explores the loneliness that lies just beyond our walls and the power of imagination and play in disconnected times.
